    Goals / remit

Open Europe is an independent, not for profit think-tank, with offices in London and Brussels, dedicated to contribute bold new thinking to the debate about the direction of the EU. A leader in our field, we produce cutting-edge research on all aspects of EU policy, to provide fresh ideas on how to reform the EU and make it better equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Our research and ideas are aimed at a range of audiences, including policy-makers around Europe, the business community, media and academia. We aim to disseminate our findings through regular publications and events, and to make EU policy more accessible to the public through a range of different channels.

Funded by individual donations, our research is strictly independent from party political, EU institutional or commercial interests.

Our research areas include:
Trade and development
Institutional reform and transparency
Single Market and regulation
Environment and energy
Polling and public opinion
Justice, home affairs and migration
EU budget and economic reform
