Le BIBM est la fédération Européenne de l'industrie du béton.
Les buts de l’association sont de :
- développer et encourager la coopération internationale dans les domaines scientifique, technique et de la normalisation ;
- constituer un organe de contact et de référence pour les instances gouvernementales, officielles et non-gouvernementales européennes et internationales ;
- contribuer à la promotion des produits préfabriqués en béton.
A cette fin, et sans que cette liste ne soit exhaustive, le B.I.B.M. :
- organise ou contribue à l'organisation de congrès, conférences, séminaires, réunions, missions ou voyages d'études ;
- rédige et diffuse ou contribue à la rédaction et à la diffusion de documents scientifiques, techniques, promotionnels, sous forme écrite ou électronique ;
- cherche chaque fois que c’est nécessaire ou souhaitable des alliances avec d’autres associations ou organisations, afin de réaliser ses buts ;
- finance, ou contribue au financement, des études ou travaux scientifiques et/ou techniques ;
le tout dans les domaines qui le concernent.
