Danish Transport and Logistics has since january 2012 been cooperating with Norwegian Road Haulage Association and Swedish Road Haulier Association in a new joint Eu-representation: Nordic Logistics Association
Our vision is to create a professional service industry that on the basis of leadership and corporate culture contributes to an efficient, coherent and well functioning transport system both in Denmark and internationally, and at the same time assumes the responsibility for ethics, environment, road safety, legal compliance and quality.
At the same time the transport industry shall be founded on a sound economy and earnings capacity based on uniform competitive conditions and the most favourable competitiveness.
DTL represents the interests of 2.600 transport companies. They operate 14,500 goods vehicles, 50 locomotives and have a staff of 18,000 employees covering a total payroll of 0,9 billion Euro.

The Danish Transport and Logistics Association uses its position as the leading Danish association of operators of road, rail and combined transport nationally and internationally to contribute to and assist in the shaping of the Danish and the European transport policy to ensure a sustainable future for its members.
The Danish Transport and Logistics Association involves itself in a reliable and trustworthy manner with other stakeholders and decision makers on a national level and on a European level.
The main areas of interest concern: Road transport legislation such as rules for access to the market and to the profession, driving and rest time rules, working time, professional training, vehicles weights and dimensions, transport of life animals, energy taxation and road charging. Logistics initiatives promoting a sustainable and efficient transport and logistics system in Europe, including chairing the Commission working group on bottlenecks. Environmental legislation relevant for transport relating to emission reductions, biofuel, energy efficiency, noise. Rail transport policy legislation relating to market access, environment and technical issues.
