Open Europe is an independent, not for profit think-tank, with offices in London and Brussels, dedicated to contribute bold new thinking to the debate about the direction of the EU. A leader in our field, we produce cutting-edge research on all aspects of EU policy, to provide fresh ideas on how to reform the EU and make it better equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Our research and ideas are aimed at a range of audiences, including policy-makers around Europe, the business community, media and academia. We aim to disseminate our findings through regular publications and events, and to make EU policy more accessible to the public through a range of different channels.
Funded by individual donations, our research is strictly independent from party political, EU institutional or commercial interests.

Open Europe is an independent think tank which crafts solutions to the European Union’s most pressing problems and campaigns to put these solutions into action. It is committed to reform of the EU. Its research work covers a range of areas including, but not limited to:

Justice and home affairs
Open Europe holds public events and seminars in London, Brussels and elsewhere across the EU. These events and Open Europe’s research form the basis of Open Europe’s publications, which are available on its website.

Open Europe employs several researchers who produce a wide range of reports, studies and other publications which contain policy recommendations with the aim of contributing to better decision-making, both in the EU institutions and member state governments.
Open Europe also organises seminars and conferences both in Brussels and national capitals, aimed at encouraging debate and the formation of new policy ideas.
