Ecofor, a French public platform, has been created to develop, gather and structure knowledge towards public policies and sustainable forest management.
Its main subjects are Biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, Climate change and risks, Ecosystem services and sustainable management, Information systems.
Its intervention modes are research and expertise, prepared by co-construction and followed by transfer and dissemination.
Ecofor operates : • in close cooperation with its members on common, interdisciplinary issues, • At the interface between science and decision, between forest and environment issues, • From temperate to tropical; from local to international
Ecofor works closely with the Ministries in charge of research, of agriculture, of sustainable development and of foreign affairs.
