Goals / remit

Goals / remit of the organisation: CEEP gathers enterprises and organisations from across Europe, both public and private, at national, regional and local level,which are public employers or providers of services of general interest and is one of the three European Cross-Sectoral Social Partners.
CEEP has members in nearly all of the Members States and beyond the E.U territory. It represents the interest of its members to the European institutions. CEEP's priorities are:
to promote services of general interst, particularly regarding their crucial contributions to the European social and economic model;
to use the Social Dialogue as a means to modernise public services and to promote partnerships at all levels (local, regional, national and European) in view of the achievement of the Lisbon Strategy objectives, particularly to have better and more jobs, adapted to change;
to reinforce sustainable development by influencing all European decisions affecting basic infrastructures (transport, energy, water supply, waster management, telecommunications).
to conduct research aimed at fulfilling its objective, either at its own initiative or at the request of other organisations, and to organise all seminars, colloquia and other forms of concerted action;
