IMCA is the international trade association representing offshore, marine and underwater engineering companies with over 1000 member companies all over the world. Our main interest is technical good practice for marine construction in oil & gas, but IMCA also covers dredging, cable laying and offshore renewable energy.
Implementation of the Offshore Safety Directive (Directive 2013/30/EU).
Regulation on Monitoring, Reporting and Verification of CO2 Emissions from Maritime Transport.
Review of the EU Working Time Directive (Directive 2003/88/EC).

As well as a core focus on safety, the environment, competence and training, IMCA seeks to promote its members' common interests, to resolve industry-wide issues and to provide an authoritative voice for its members.
IMCA has four technical divisions, covering marine/specialist vessel operations, offshore diving, hydrographic survey and remote systems and ROVs, plus geographic sections for the Asia-Pacific, Central & North America, Europe & Africa, Middle East & India and South America regions.
IMCA publishes some 200 guidance notes and technical reports – many are available for free downloading by members and non-members alike.
EU matters are covered by our technical adviser for regulatory affairs - time spent estimated equivalent to 1 month per annum.
