Brancheforeningen Danske Maritime er et knudepunkt for dansk forankrede virksomheder med maritime forretningsområder. Brancheforeningen har virket med succes, siden den blev etableret i 1919 under navnet Skibsværftsforeningen.
Danske Maritime fremmer vilkårene for de danske maritime virksomheder. Endeligt er Danske Maritime et videnscenter, der servicerer medlemsvirksomheder, offentlige myndigheder og pressen med den nyeste viden omkring forhold, der har relevans for den maritime sektor i Danmark
