De NEderlandse Vereniging voor Thuisonderwijs heeft ten doel:
a. thuisonderwijzende ouders en thuisonderwezen jongeren,- ongeacht religie, levensbeschouwing, land van herkomst, etnische identiteit, beroep, pedagogische visie, staat van gezondheid en/of invaliditeit van ouder of kind gelegenheid te geven tot vereniging;
b. belangen van thuisonderwijzende ouders en thuisonderwezen leerlingen te behartigen; en
c. thuisonderwijzende ouders te ondersteunen voor zover mogelijk.
3. De vereniging tracht haar doel te bereiken door:
a. thuisonderwijzende ouders te ondersteunen met onder andere het verstrekken van informatie en het organiseren van bijeenkomsten;
b. in communicatie te treden met derden over thuisonderwijs en alles wat daarmee te maken heeft; en
c. voorts al hetgeen verrichten dat met één en ander rechtstreeks of zijdelings verband houdt en/of daartoe bevorderlijk kan zijn, alles in de ruimste zin des woords.
