BP operates in the fields of oil, gas and renewable energies and provides its customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for everyday items. BP has operations in around 100 countries with well-established businesses in Europe, Russia and the Caspian, North and South America, East Asia, Australasia and Africa.



Representation of the positions, views and interests of BP p.l.c. to the institutions of the European Union in areas including:

1. European policy and legislation impacting the business of our company including in the areas of energy, offshore safety, research and innovation, climate change, environmental protection, competition, financial markets and employment.

2. EU international relations with countries and regions of importance to our business operations.

1. Estimate based on full year 2011 actual expenditures and use of time for the direct lobbying of all the EU institutions.
2. Estimate includes costs (including overheads) of all staff and consultancy services attributable to direct lobbying and all payments to trade associations and think tanks.
