Der Verein will dem Tierschutz bei Fischen zum Durchbruch verhelfen, insbeson-dere bei Speisefischen. Er berücksichtigt dabei zugleich die Kriterien der Nach-haltigkeit und des fairen Handels. Er informiert die Öffentlichkeit und pflegt die Zusammenarbeit mit interessierten Fachkreisen, Vermarktern und Organisatio-nen verwandter Zielrichtung. Er legt Richtlinien fest und vergibt ein Label.
Der Verein verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke.
