In line with clause 30 of the Interinstitutional Agreement on the Transparency Register, a review of the Transparency Register was initiated two years after its launch, in the form of an interinstitutional working group set up between the European Parliament and the European Commission. The working group will discuss the current state of play of the register and whether it is necessary to introduce any changes to the IIA. General information about the review process can be found here.

  • In view of the current review exercise, representatives of European wide horizontal organisations were invited to a series of stakeholders' meetings with the joint EP-COM Secretariat during the first semester of 2013, as well as to a meeting held with Vice President Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič in June to exchange their views. The linked pdf summarizes the views expressed by these organisations on those occasions.
