The group will assist and advise the Member States and the Commission in implementing the provisions of the new public procurement Directives relating to electronic procurement. It will contribute to monitoring the uptake of eProcurement across the EU, sharing best practices and following new developments in the field. It will also help addressing interoperability issues in this area.
With a view to further promoting the uptake of end-to-end eProcurement across the EU, including in the post-award phase, EXEP will liaise closely with the European Multi-Stakeholder Forum on eInvoicing (EMSFEI) and with national forums. The group will be responsible for ensuring the coherence between the recommendations arising from the EMSFEI and broader policies on end-to-end eProcurement.
Assist the Commission in relation to the implementation of existing Union legislation, programmes and policies
Assist the Commission in the preparation of legislative proposals and policy initiatives
Coordinate with Member States, exchange of views
Provides expertise to the Commission when preparing implementing measures, i.e. before the Commission submits these draft measures to a comitology committee
