Mission:
- To launch and pursue a project in order to produce the specifications of a Customs System that could be deployed nationally by the participant countries but also re-usable by any other Member State or Candidate Country: 1) Define the project orgnanisations, structure, methods, tools and scope and start the definition of the functional and system specifications (1 year). 2) Start the detail technical specifciations and possibly the development of the system software and decide if the same workgroup should undertake this or if it should be done by a parallel one of technical specialists. The scope of the project would be the so called Customs Core Processes related to movement of goods, clerance and customs declaration management; or any other processes which IT automation is under national responsibility. The scope must be refined and probably reduced during the first phase of the project.
