Introduction and objectives

E-DOMEC stands for “Electronic archiving and Document Management in the European Commission”.

The European Commission officially started the e-Domec project, the new electronic archiving and document management policy of the Commission, in January 2002.

The Secretariat-general is responsible for the normative part and is also project owner for several informatics applications of document management.
