As from June 2009, the website of the European Commission's DG Taxation and Customs Union gives access to the National List of Taxes, which contains data on revenue by individual tax in the EU Member States (plus Iceland and Norway) from 1995 to 2012.
The data cover all main taxes and are supplied to the EU statistical office Eurostat by the National Statistical Offices, following the ESA95 classification. The data on this website is updated annually, towards the end of May, coinciding with the publication of the report 'Taxation Trends in the European Union'. The information given here expands and replaces the data published as Annex B in that report up to 2008. For country-specific remarks, please refer to the notes sheet in the file.
Note: this database contains information on revenue and a statistical and economic classification of the taxes. A full description of the characteristics of the main individual taxes for each Member State, e.g. the applicable rates, can instead be found in the Taxes in Europe Database.
