Riga Technical University International Economic Relations and Customs Institute (IERCI) i n collaboration with State Revenue Service
Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, the 40th anniversary of the EU Customs Union and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the State Revenue Service of the Republic of Latvia, the opening of the Customs and Tax Museum will take place in the last week of November 2008. The Customs and Tax Museum takes as a basis for its exhibits the material put together for an exhibition on the history of Latvian Customs, held in 2000. The main idea of that exhibition was to chronologically present facts about the history of customs on the territory of Latvia from early times until nowadays, supplemented with material from the relevant periods - mainly copies of documents, drawings and photos from various archives of Latvia.
