Open call for tender MARKT/2009/04/E: "Study on Internal Market Barriers to Sport Funding"

Action 37 in the Pierre de Coubertin Action Plan annexed to the White Paper on Sport states that "As a contribution to the reflection on the financing of sport, the Commission will carry out an independent study on the financing of grassroots sport and sport for all in the Member States from both public and private sources, and on the impact of ongoing changes in that area".
The Commission has launched an invitation to tender for this study, which will look into public and private sources of sport funding and into financial streams within particular sports. It will also address possible cross-border obstacles that could affect the financing of sport. This invitation to tender was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 14 March 2009.

Deadline for the receipt of tenders: 30 April 2009.
