  • Start date : 29/10/2013 10:21:37

14 projects have been selected following the 2013 call for proposals in the framework of the Preparatory Actions "European Partnership on Sports". These 14 projects, which have been presented by sport and civil society organisations and public bodies, will cover areas such as good governance and dual career in sport, protection of athletes and promotion of traditional European sport and games.

The 2013 call for proposals of the Preparatory Action was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 26 April 2013pdf. The deadline for applications was 19 July. In total, 135 applications were received. Following the evaluation, the Commission decided to finance 14 projects with a total amount of € 2.8 million. The 14 selected projects cover the three areas of this year's call for proposals:

(1) Strengthening of good governance and dual careers in sport through support for the mobility of volunteers, coaches, managers and staff of non-profit sport organisations.
(2) Protecting athletes, especially the youngest, from health and safety hazards by improving training and competition conditions.
