EU Expert Group "Sustainable Financing of Sport"
The EU Expert Group Sustainable Financing of Sport held its first meeting in Brussels on 16 November 2011. The report from the meeting is now available.
This Expert Group is one of six new Expert Groups established by the Council's Resolution on an EU Work Plan for Sport for 2011-2014 
to carry out specific tasks within the 2011-2014 timeframe.
The Group, composed of experts appointed by Member States, is mandated by the Council to recommend ways to strengthen financial solidarity mechanisms within sport. It will report to the Council Working Party on Sport. At its first meeting, the Group agreed on a work schedule that includes one concrete deliverable.
