Commission negotiates convention against match-fixing
The Commission will participate for the first time as EU negotiator in the meeting of the Drafting Group established by the Council of Europe to discuss a convention against match-fixing. The meeting will take place in Strasbourg on 13-15 June 2013.

EU and IOC pledge to continue 'special relationship' to promote dialogue in sport
Androulla Vassiliou, the European Commissioner responsible for sport, and Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), met earlier this week ay as part of the Commission's 'structured dialogue' with the sport movement.

Commission launches 2013 Call for Proposals in the field of sport
The call for proposals will serve to select high-quality transnational projects which will be supported through the 2013 Preparatory Action "European Partnership on Sports".
