Le groupe de haut niveau sur l’avenir de la protection sociale et de l’État-providence dans l’UE, récemment créé, s’est réuni aujourd’hui pour la première fois. Le groupe présentera des recommandations sur la manière de rendre les systèmes de protection sociale et de sécurité sociale adaptés au futur.

La Commission propose d'agir pour faire respecter les droits de l'enfant et soutenir les enfants dans le besoin
La Commission a adopté aujourd'hui la première stratégie globale de l'UE sur les droits de l'enfant, ainsi qu'une proposition de recommandation du Conseil établissant une garantie européenne pour l'enfance, afin de promouvoir l'égalité des chances pour les enfants exposés au risque de pauvreté ou d'exclusion sociale.
