A European Digital Jobs Fair took place in Spain's capital Madrid on 20 November. The Fair was organised in response to the mismatch between demand and supply of digital technology experts in Europe.
The European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) was organising a European meeting on Social Convergence in the EU on 19 and 20 November in Brussels with people experiencing poverty.
The aim of the conference was to disseminate the results and lessons learnt of eight pilot projects funded by the Commission's Directorate-General for Employment to conduct counterfactual impact evaluations (CIE) on ESF interventions during the 2007-2013 programming period.
The Learning Exchange on ‘Measures to support older workers’ took place on 10 November 2015 and focused on measures and initiatives to encourage labour market participation among people aged 55 years and above in Slovenia, the Netherlands, Norway and the UK. The aim of the Learning Exchange was to foster a discussion on measures to both improve the employability of older workers and to encourage them to remain in the labour market. The Learning Exchange was hosted by the Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and was a follow up to the Expert Workshop on ‘Measures to address labour market segmentation’ which took place on 9 November 2015 also in Slovenia.
On 9 November 2015, the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Slovenia, hosted an Expert Workshop under the umbrella of the Mutual Learning Programme focusing on labour market reforms to address segmentation.
On 9 and 10 November a conference will be organised in Thessaloniki (Greece) for a wide range of stakeholders who have a role in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to increase their apprenticeship offers.
