The Peer Review focused on measures to improve the position of young people facing obstacles to access the labour market, a key objective of the European Employment Strategy as well as a top priority across all Member States in the context of the implementation of ‘Youth Guarantees’ plans.
This event featured the ‘Emplois d’Avenir’ scheme, France’s flagship initiative to support the labour market participation of young people with lower level of educational attainment, relying on the use of subsidised contracts. One year into the programme, the scheme is building momentum and is therefore at a crucial point of taking stock. The Peer Review provided opportunities for exchange with other European countries to discuss good practice in using targeted schemes for specific groups of young people.
This Peer Review was hosted by the French Ministry of Employment, Labour, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue as part of the Mutual Learning Programme.
