The European Commission and the World Bank will hold a joint conference in Brussels on February 21, on the occasion of the launch of the World Bank pension report, "The Inverting Pyramid".
This one-day conference is being jointly organised by the European Commission and the OECD. The overarching
aim is to assess policies leading to more rational use of resources (i.e. how to improve cost efficiency or achieve
better value for money) in the health care sector and the potential of such policies for ensuring better the longer-run
sustainability of health-care systems.
