Volunteers are digitally literate individuals who are willing to pass on their skills to target groups as well as to generally promote the potential of ICT. They can be physically present or provide support online.
VoIDIX is an innovative model for building digital literacy and developing regional technology and social innovation policies. It underpins the key enabling role of ICT in achieving the aims of the Europe 2020 Strategy as outlined in one of the seven flagship initiatives “A digital agenda for Europe”, as well as providing lessons for another flagship initiative, the “Innovation Union”.
