EUROCITIES Cities for Active Inclusion has published a collection of innovative strategies and projects used in cities to promote social inclusion.
This collection features input from each of the nine network members – Birmingham, Bologna, Brno, Copenhagen, Krakow, Lille Metropole-Roubaix, Rotterdam, Sofia and Stockholm.
Innovation in social policies at city level plays an important role in the active inclusion of people furthest away from the labour market. The practices in the collection show how new social trends and challenges constantly prompt local governments to adapt and develop new ways to implement active inclusion policies. They reflect on examples of innovative partnerships, integrated approaches, dealing with complex situations and groups in society, and bottom-up approaches to including the most excluded into society.
