International debate in Brussels on active ageing policies.

Over 200 representatives from local, regional and national administrations, institutions, social services and associations joined on 14 February 2012 at the Committee of Regions Forum in Brussels to discuss the multilevel governance approach of the policy domain and to highlight how local and regional actors improve the conditions for active ageing.

The Forum presented good practice in the three major thematic strands of the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations, each of which closely related to the competences of the CoR: Employment, Participation in Society and Independent Living.
