Despite the current economic odds, 27-year old biologist Carlos Jimenez Criado was able to dedicate his passion and expertise to the development of cancer research. His training was co-funded by a Fund for training young, striving scientists. The video series “My Story” is about ordinary people beating the odds. Well-timed support from the European Social Fund (ESF) helped them to improve their skills and find work.
