This non-binding guide provides information and examples of good practice in connection with the implementation of health and safety directives, together with other necessary elements such as explanations and practical examples of the hazards and risks during all stages of farming, horticulture and forestry work. This guide is designed to help all stakeholders, in particular farmers, supervisors (especially in SMEs), employers, workers and their representatives, and others, to implement directives and to properly manage the prevention of risks due to work. This guide also contains a summary of the various EU directives, references and bibliography of information providers, a glossary, a list of key questions and a list by topic, a table of practical examples and a general table of the duties of the stakeholders. This guide contains various examples of good practice which have either been selected from the guides existing in the EU Member States or specially designed for this guide. This publication will be available in printed format in English, French and German and in electronic format in all other EU official languages.

The main focus of this guide is to present up-to-date technical and scientific knowledge regarding the prevention of the most significant risks in healthcare, especially biological, musculoskeletal, psychosocial and chemical risks, and to support the implementation of the relevant European Union directives in force. Practical instruments to support employers in identifying the risks for the health and safety of their employees and to guide the implementation of preventive measures in their healthcares facilities are outlined and clarified. This publication will be available in printed format in German, English and French and in electronic format in all other EU official languages.

Европейските работнически съвети (ЕРС) са органи, чрез които централното управление информира и консултира европейските работници на дадена компания относно напредъка и относно важни решения. Директива 2009/38/ЕО подсилва правото на работниците за транснационално информиране и консултиране и подпомага създаването на ЕРС. Тази брошура излага основните характеристики на ЕРС и целите на директивата. Тя обяснява новите предписания за създаване и функциониране на ЕРС, заедно с ролята на представителите на работниците, процедурите за договаряне и графика за прилагане. Описани са концепциите за информиране и консултиране и аспектите, свързани с адаптирането и непрекъснатостта на ЕРС. Накрая са предоставени допълнителна информация, източници за популяризиране и финансиране, както и лица за контакт. Тази публикация е отпечатана на хартиен носител на всички официални езици на ЕС.

Това ръководство с незадължителен характер дава практически насоки за тълкуването и прилагането на Директива 92/57/EИО относно минималните изисквания за безопасност и здраве на временни или подвижни строителни участъци. Чрез разяснението на директивата и привеждането на предложения за добри практики и примери, то цели да подпомогне всички заинтересовани страни в строителната индустрия, в това число клиенти, ръководители на проекти, дизайнери, координатори и други служители и работници, в следните области: • разбиране и прилагане на общите принципи на превенция (Глава 1); • разбиране на изискванията на директивата за безопасност и здраве, в това число кога и в кои случаи тя е приложима, задълженията и ролята на заинтересованите лица, както и необходимата документация (Глава 2); • идентифициране на типичните опасности и рискове по време на строителни дейности (Глава 3); • управление на рисковете през цялата продължителност на строителните проекти - от подготовката, изпълнението и етапът след приключване на работата (Глава 4); и • обобщаване на задълженията на заинтересованите лица по етапи (Глава 5). Though significant progress has been made in increasing the quality of health care across the European Union, many inequalities persist. In particular, this report looks at the inequality in access to healthcare and long-term care between men and women in the EU. The synthesis presented in this comparative report by the Expert Group on Gender Equality, Social Inclusion, Health and Long-term Care Issues describes the main differences in the health status of women and men in European countries and examines how healthcare and long-term care systems respond to gender specific needs in ensuring equal access. The report considers the main financial, cultural and physical barriers to access and provides good practice examples of healthcare promotion, prevention and treatment programs, as well as of long-term care. It calls attention to the need for promoting gender mainstreaming in healthcare and long-term care. This report on gender segregation in the labour market examines employment segregation for men and women in Europe through comparative analyses of trends across all 27 Member States plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Specifically, the report looks at the root causes of gender segregation, its consequences and the current and desirable policy responses. This report presents the detailed analysis of causes and circumstances of accidents at work in the European Union. This publication consists of two parts "Statistical analysis of ESAW Phase III data" and "Implications on preventive measures". The aim of the first part is to describe the situation regarding accidents at work in statistical terms using available ESAW data, and in particular ESAW Phase III data related to the causes and circumstances of accidents at work. On the basis of conclusions drawn from the statistical analysis, the second part provides considerations and suggestions on possible measures that could be implemented in the prevention of accidents at work.
