Study on the implementation of the autonomous framework agreement on harassment and violence at work – Final report  (21/09/2016)

On 26 April 2007, the European social partners BUSINESSEUROPE, UEAPME, CEEP and ETUC signed an autonomous framework agreement on violence and harassment at work which requires that the member federations of signatory parties cooperate on the improvement of working conditions by establishing and promoting mechanisms to identify, prevent and manage problems of harassment and violence occurring at the workplace. This study and annexes provide an assessment of the implementation of the agreement at national level, while taking into account the procedures and practices specific to management and labour in each country, as well as information on the extent of the phenomenon across Europe.

Uzimajući u obzir važnu ulogu koju socijalni dijalog kroz poticanje konkurentnosti i pravednosti te gospodarskog i društvenog blagostanja ima za europski socijalni model, Europska komisija nastoji promicati socijalni dijalog diljem EU-a. U samom središtu ovih nastojanja nalazi se „novi početak za socijalni dijalog”, zajedničko nastojanje svih institucija EU-a i socijalnih partnera u svrhu daljnjeg jačanja socijalnog dijaloga na razini EU-a i nacionalnoj razini.

A new start for social dialogue  (21/05/2015)

Social dialogue refers to the discussions, consultations, negotiations and joint actions that take place between the social partners, namely employers and trade unions, on a wide range of social and work-related issues.
At EU level, social dialogue was launched in 1985 by President Delors at Val Duchesse. Since then, social dialogue has been considered crucial to promote competitiveness and fairness and to enhance economic prosperity and social well-being. Developing and fostering social dialogue is an essential element of the European social model. European social dialogue complements and supports national social dialogue and industrial relations.

Impact of the structural changes on jobs and industrial relations in the telecommunications and ICT - Final Report  (20/03/2015)

It includes in-depth analyses of developments in wage bargaining systems; industrial relations in Member States receiving financial assistance, as well as industrial relations and youth employment. In addition, it presents an update of recent developments in European social dialogue and labour law.

EU social dialogue newsletter n°6 - march 2014  (11/03/2014)

The European Commission launched its 6th edition of the EU Social Dialogue Newsletter.

For the first time the Newsletter includes a table showing the follow-up of European sectoral social dialogue 2012 and also the latest overview table summarising the outcomes of European social dialogue in 2013.

Published 3 times a year, the newsletter provides a broad picture of developments in European social dialogue, which is being developed at cross-industry level and through 43 sectoral social dialogue committees.

Industrijski odnosi u Europi 2012 - Izvršni sažetak  (18/06/2013)

Ovaj izvršni sažetak izvještaja razmatra način na koji su se industrijski odnosi razvijali od zadnjeg izdanja 2010. godine. S pretvaranjem financijske krize u dužničku krizu, reforme koje su vlade provodile imale su bitan utjecaj na odnose između poslodavaca, sindikata i javnih vlasti. Iako je socijalni dijalog bio čimbenik otpornosti u prevladavanju ranih posljedica krize, njezino trajanje i dubina stvorili su nepovoljno okruženje za socijalni dijalog. Ipak, sažetak naglašava važnost kontinuiranog i dobro strukturiranog dijaloga te podcrtava spremnost Komisije da daje podršku i promiče njegov daljnji razvoj. Sažetak je dostupan u elektroničkom obliku na svim službenim jezicima EU-a, dok je cjeloviti izvještaj dostupan na engleskom jeziku u tiskanom obliku.

Industrial Relations in Europe 2012  (11/04/2013)

This report reviews trends and developments in the relationship between workers, employers, their respective representatives and public authorities at national and EU level during 2010-12. It looks at how the continuing crisis and reforms implemented in response may be having a more fundamental impact on industrial relations, as conflict is increasing. In certain countries, fiscal consolidation has resulted in unfavourable settings for social dialogue, especially in the public sector, where reforms have been accelerated. Despite this the report concludes that structured social dialogue is still the right approach for building consensus and ensuring the sustainability of economic and social reforms.
