In preparation for a planned revision of the 2009 Guidelines, the Commission has commissioned a study to review different methods for assessing costs and benefits of regulation. The study neither prefigures the content of the revised Guidelines nor commits the European Commission.
The report outlines the Board's activities in 2012 and their effect on the Commission's impact assessment reports and records the Board's recommendations for improvement. It also explains how the Board's work fits within the wider context. This report is the latest in a series of annual reports, produced for transparency and accountability.
