Communication of General Interest [COM(2007)725]
The Commission adopted on 20 November 2007 a Communication on "Services of general interest, including social services of general interest: a new European commitment".
This Communication reviews progress made since the 2004 White Paper, also in the light of the provisions of the new Reform Treaty. It draws on the public consultation on social services initiated in 2006.
