The prototype of a thermal water engine
Inspiring ourselves from an article called experiments for amateurs, we decided to build the water thermal engine prototype as it was described in the 'Pour la science magazine'. The engine, as any type of engine, needs two thermal sources. But these two systems, as we noticed after a few experiments, did not work in phase. Of course we wanted to optimize the energy transmission, so we started working on synchronizing the two systems and finetuning the difference in temperature. With this we were able to calculate the optimum frequency and theoretical efficiency factors and to optimize the actual factor for thermal power of the hot source of the new improved prototype of the water thermal engine.
