The 5th edition of the conference "Transport Research Arena" will be hosted in France on April 14-17, 2014, in the CNIT (Paris la Défense).
This major European conference is organised by the French ministry of ecology, sustainable development and energy and Ifsttar in partnership with the European Commission and the main stakeholders (ERRAC, ERTRAC, WATERBORNE TP and CEDR), for all those involved in research and innovation in ground transportation. Researchers, companies, decision makers, etc. are invited to this conference and exhibition, which provides great opportunity for large companies and SMEs active in road, rail, waterborne and cross modal transport, to present their works, innovative products and services, case studies and to develop networking and partnerships.
2000 to 3000 participants are expected and a dozen joint conferences and associated events will be welcomed by TRA2014.
The first competition is a research student competition in sustainable surface transport. The goal is to stimulate the interest among young researchers and students in this field.
The official start date for the contest is May 15, 2013 and final submission deadline, January 31, 2014.
The second competition targets senior researchers in the field of innovative surface transport concepts based on results from EU-funded projects.
