Small business innovation research for transport

The European transport sector must have the capacity to deliver the best products and services, in a time and cost efficient manner, in order to preserve its leadership and create new jobs, as well as to tackle the environmental and mobility defies.

In this objective, the role of SMEs to meet these challenges is critical as they are key players in the supply chains.

As well, enhancing the involvement of weaker players in innovation activities as well as facilitating the start-up and emergence of new high-tech SMEs is of paramount importance.

Therefore, to support the preparation of proposals to the calls H2020-IT-2014-2015 (under the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport Challenge of the new Horizon 2020 Framework Programme)
dedicated to SMEs, the Transport Directorate of the European Commission's Research and
Innovation Directorate-General is organising an Information Day on 11 March 2014
from 2.30 PM till 6 PM in the Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170 in Brussels.

The aim of the day will be to inform SMEs on the particularities and expected impacts
of these specific calls.
