Testing technology for colorectal cancer treatment

The ChemoGuide project will clinically validate a prototype technology (named '2 treat') developed in a previous 'Research for SMEs' project. The research team will evaluate the technological ability to predict the combination of therapies that is most effective for colorectal cancer. The technology is expected to improve both the quality of treatment for individual patients and its cost efficiency.

New ideas to fight tuberculosis and other chronic infections

Tuberculosis (TB) is a lethal disease claiming many lives every year worldwide. Antibiotics help treat TB, but the disease is becoming more resistant to drugs and several gene mutations have been reported. The NOPERSIST project team applied advances in molecular biology and the sequencing of TB genomes to better understand the disease as well as other infections, such as HIV. The project advanced the quest for new medicines to treat TB.
