Launched in April 2010, the IncoNet CA/SC project aims to strengthen and deepen EU S&T cooperation with central Asian and south Caucasus countries and Moldova. The project brings together 27 participating organisations from 15 EU and partner countries. It complements the FP7 International Cooperation Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (IncoNet EECA), which was launched in January 2008, reinforcing its activity specifically to target the CA/SC region.
The SEA-EU-NET project was amended in 2010 to extend scientific collaboration between Europe and South-east Asia and make it more strategic and coherent. The project delivers a range of measures to increase SEA-EU cooperation among academic, industrial and government stakeholders. It does so principally by raising the profile of FP7 among the South-east Asian research community and by increasing their participation in the FP7 programme. It will develop recommendations on how to strengthen the relationship further.
