Shared visions, common research futures
The “European Science and Technology Foresight Knowledge Sharing Platform” was implemented in 2004 with a view to support the self-organisation process of the “Foresight Community” through knowledge sharing activities and events.
It provides a coherent supportive framework at the European level to identify and mobilise all relevant actors (at every governance level) to enable EU-wide networking and capacity building.
Structure of the Foresight S&T Knowledge Sharing Platform:
The platform is structured in 3 different layers of activities through a series of contracts (see issue 7 of the “Foresighting Europe” Newsletter):
- Monitoring Foresight activities in Europe and fostering their European dimension: EFMN project (European Foresight Monitoring Network)
- Support to mutual learning between Foresight managers, practitioners, users and stakeholders of policy-making organisations in Europe: FOR-LEARN project
- Promoting EU wide Foresight approaches: besides the 9 specific studieson prospective key issues for EU research and innovation (see issue 7), a new call for tender was published for a new study on New Emerging / Converging Clusters of Science and Technology
