The FP7 SSH GEMMA project held a workshop on "Gender & Migration - Sharing experiences and knowledge" in Rome on 14 May 2009
This workshop aimed
at presenting to stakeholders the results of European research on "Gender
and Migration" and to establish a plan for communication between researchers
and civil society organizations. The dissemination of research results,
together with the involvement of civil society organisations, is one
of the priorities of the European Commission with regard to socio-economic
research. The dialogue and exchange of knowledge between researchers
and civil society organisations is an important component of socioeconomic
research in order to achieve social cohesion.
