LOCALISE is now halfway through the project period and we would like to cordially invite everyone interested in the project to participate in our midterm workshop! The workshop is to be held in Brussels on March 1st 2013 and aims at reflecting the implications of our research for policy-making.
The EU-funded project LOCALISE investigates the local dimension of social and employment policies with a special focus on the organisational dimension of integrated activation policies. The activation of long-term unemployed and otherwise disadvantaged groups is one of the most important challenges for social cohesion in Europe. These groups are confronted with complex problems (e.g. low income, low qualification or alcoholism), which require multiple employment and social services tailored to individual needs, particularly at the local level.
The focus of LOCALISE is to analyse the organisational integration of social and employment policies at the local level and its regional, national and European context as well as its impact on beneficiaries. In Brussels we will discuss comparative results of 12 local case studies in six European countries and reflect on the lessons to be learnt from them. Apart from engaging discussions, there will also be plenty opportunity to network in a pleasant atmosphere.
