Link to sustainable development: To underpin the vision of the "European knowledge based bio-economy", the work programmes take up various topics which relate to key challenges of the Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS), like research into sustainable consumption and production patterns. This chapter of the Vision papers ( 183 KB) describes the articulation between food, agriculture, fisheries and biotechnology research and sustainable development challenges.
