Thilo Petri has been working at the TUV Rheinland Group since 2003 as a scientific consultant in the division Research Management. Here, he managed the German national research programme “Building and Housing” which included research on sustainable urban development. Thilo has been involved in transnational research cooperation since 2004. In 2006, he became a member of the URBAN-Net project consortium. In this project – which focuses on cooperation within the field of sustainable urban development – he acts as a work package leader and member of the project’s management group. Thilo has a professional background as an urban and regional planner, holding a degree from the Technical University of Berlin. As a consultant for local authorities, he worked for 6 years in Berlin and the east of Germany. During this time, he gained practical experience in coordinating projects in the fields of urban rehabilitation and modification, sustainable urban development, tourism and city marketing, neighbourhood improvement as well as mobility management.
