Denis Bailly

Denis Bailly is an economist, lecturer at the University of Western Brittany (Brest, France) and researcher at the Center for Law and Economics of the Sea (UMR-AMURE), European Institute of Marine Studies. Specialised in environment and natural resources economics he started his career in the Economic Department of IFREMER, before joining the university of Brest in 1993. Aquaculture development has been his early field of research, in Europe and Asia. He then moved into the environmental management of coastal zones. He is the scientific co-coordinator of the Integrated Project SPICOSA (6th FP) that develops a system approach framework to integrate scientific knowledge in policies for environmental sustainability of European coastal zones.
