Why only male researchers?

Homage to woman
In connection with the special issue on Science Dialogues

I noticed with some surprise that the illustrator named Selçuk seems to be extremely unaware that scientists these days (as well as probably a very long time ago) are both male and female. Having a background as a female scientist, I am not amused by this kind of single sex illustration. Would it be possible to remind this – I assume male – illustrator of the fact?

Ros-Mari Bålöw, Sweden

"The reader is right… guilty as charged!” admits Selçuk who sends us this ‘homage to women’ – embodied by a woman writer.
