Women in Science - “women in science”: a book and audio book

The women portrayed in this book cover a broad sweep of history – from Hellenic times right up to the present. Through their experiences and eyes, the reader can also trace the progress of female emancipation: from the middle ages, when science and many
other fields were almost exclusively the preserve of men, to the 19th century when women began to make major inroads, to more recent decades when women achieved equality – at least, in principle. The book is available to download as a PDF and as mp3 files – an audio book.
