South Bohemia will take part in the European Researchers’ Night with an event organised in CK Solnice, a multicultural centre located in a historical building that was once a salt warehouse.
Music will be at the heart of the night, with the presence of four bands formed by scientists and university lecturers (Akia b.a., Cri-du-chat, Smutny Karel, and St. Johnny & his Boom Chicka Boom Cats), who will perform different styles, from country, blues and rock and roll, to hard rock and punk.
The public will also have the opportunity to visit the exhibition of photographs and microphotographs of the microcosm of animals and plants, taken by optic and electron microscopes, as well as attend a presentation of faculties and academic institutes.
Specialists from the Institute of Plant Molecular Biology, the Institute of Parasitology and the Institute of Entomology will also take part in the programme.
