(NB: If you have received an e-mail about the News Alerts
system, then you are already registered in the database. Follow the
instructions on how to update your profile.)
-
If you have never registered in the European Commission's
Mailing List system, click here
to go to the registration page. If you have already registered in
order to receive information from another part of the Commission, click here
to get to the login page, then log in and skip to step
3 below.
-
Enter your e-mail address and a password as indicated on
the registration screen and click on the "register"
button; you will be taken immediately to "Your profile".
-
You should see "I am a journalist" at the
bottom of the page; click in the box and complete the form that appears.
Otherwise, edit the data after "Additional information about
journalists". (NB: you don't have to be a journalist to register,
this is just a way of indicating your interest in our News Alerts, which
are mainly intended for journalists.)
-
This additional information will enable
us to send you press releases in the right language (when available) and
particularly those press releases which most interest you. All the
information is useful, but the most important is your "field
of expertise" as this will allow us to send you only those news
alerts related to your specialisation. Note that you can select
multiple categories by holding down the CTRL key as you make your
selections.
-
It would also be useful for us to know which organisation
or organisations you work for. If yours is not already listed, go to the
end of the organisation list where you can click on "new
organisation" to add yours.
-
When you have completed all the information, press
"save".
-
You can return to the site to change your information at
any time - when you change jobs for example.
