The Aeronautics Days 2006 will offer media a unique opportunity to meet decision makers and researchers from all relevant companies and organisations in the European aeronautics community. From press briefings to one-on-one meetings, Aerodays 2006 will provide the latest news and best insights into ongoing and planned cutting-edge research in areas that concern not only the latest technology, but also environmental issues, safety and security of passengers as well as the future of air transport in a time of ever-increasing worldwide mobility.
With a view to the upcoming EU’s next framework programme for research and technological development (FP7, 2007-2013), Aerodays will also play an important role for stakeholders to contribute to the direction European-funded research in aeronautics will take in the next seven years.
The two-day media programme will include top-level briefings on current advancements and results in several fields of aeronautics research, a press lunch with European Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik, exclusive media trips to Austrian aerospace companies, a guided tour of the exhibition as well as numerous conference sessions of interest to the press.
Parallel thematic sessions will cover a variety of key research topics, including:
- The ‘greening’ of air transport;
- Improving cost efficiency;
- Ensuring customer satisfaction;
- Safety and security;
- Increasing time efficiency;
- Air transport of the future
