Topic Description
Scope:

The general objective of the information provision and promotion measures is to enhance the competitiveness of the Union agricultural sector.

Programmes in this topics shall not cover milk/dairy products, pig meat products or a combination of those two. They may however cover milk/dairy products, pig meat products or a combination of those two if they are associated with other products.

The information provision and promotion programmes should target one or more countries identified in the corresponding topic.

The objectives of these programmes should comply with the general and specific objectives set out in Regulation (EU) N° 1144/2014.

The expected ultimate impact is to enhance the competitiveness and consumption of Union agrifood products, raise their profile and increase their market share in these targeted countries.

Financial support is provided to one or more organisations from the same member state representative of various agricultural sectors on the member state level in order to implement information and promotion campaigns in third countries.

Information and promotion programmes shall consist of a coherent set of operations and shall be implemented over a period of one to three years. They shall in particular consist of public relations work and information campaigns. They may also take form of participation in events, fairs and exhibitions of national, European and international importance.
